A kinda-fresh new rumour has surfaced recently, and it’s quite an interesting one at that. Apparently, Apple are really fighting for a certain feature to be available to the second-gen iPhone users; over-the-air music downloads. Now, this is not entirely new – we can already download music wirelessly using iTunes, but this new deal would allow Apple to sell things like ringtones and other content also over the air, all using 3G.
Sounds neat, but according to the rumour, the record companies involved in the yet-to-be-finalised-and-entirely-speculated deal are asking for a higher premium for tracks than if you were to download them via traditional ways. Hum.
